Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm El Sheikh 5*

My partner booked the holiday this time last year as he needed a year to convince me to travel to Sharm and go all inclusive.

It was a fantastic 10 night holiday. We had 3 coolish days (23/24) to acclimatise. Temps rose then to 30 and it was so gorgeous at nighttime. The grounds are immaculate and the green areas and flowering plants are stunning.

The food for all inclusive was always going to be a worry for me as I am coeliac so have dietary restrictions. From the first night Chef Farida did a walk through and showed me what I could and could not have. If I didn't find anything I liked they would cook me anything from fresh. The waiting staff were unreal at clearing tables as well as bringing you drinks. Mohammed runs a tight ship and the guys are bringing you drinks before you even ask. Our waiter Napil was the kindest guy you could meet. He treated us like royalty. The staff in the lobby bar, the guys in the beach bar and the Pilli Pulli bar are equally attentive. There was also a guy constantly bringing drinks to the infinity pool. His name escapes me but knew us as The Irish.

The beach is mainly rocky so bring shoes for it. I'm a non swimmer and at best fearful of the sea but my partner convinced me to try the snorkeling in water up to waist level. He did get to swim off the jetty on the rare occasion the flag went from red to yellow.

We did the promenade walk from one end to another in about 2 hrs. You got to glimpse at all the hotels all the walk. It shuts at 6 so be mindful of that. Security are everywhere but not in your face and are very polite. We had lunch and the Sunday Roast in the English bar "The Union Jack" about ten minutes walk from the hotel. Food was tasty.

I can only think positively about the Cleopatra hotel and would highly recommend to friends and family and hope to return again some day.
